Because of our sentiments to the city and the incoming spring, we bring you a miniature day in a life of Kiev.

The Making:
We shoted MiniLook Kiev with Canon 550D, during 5 days and 2 nights, shoted over 25,000 frames, from all of them we used about 4,500. The post-production was the hardest part of the creation, it took us a few good months, but finally it’s done!

There’s a slight chance I’ve already posted this vid about a year ago but the thing is, I recently realized it was taken down from YouTube so that particular post might be broken. Lo and behold the vid popped up on Vimeo.com the other day and I would like to post it, if that’s OK with you. Good video and great track — MNDR is in it too, she’s the girls with the 80′s glasses.

I was in the mood for a little (and simple) experiment. I shot a short video yesterday on my way from the woodshop — I was waiting for a train at the Gamla Stan station. This is what I did; I extracted the raw video file from my iPhone 4S using PhoneView, I then uploaded the untouched video to both YouTube and Vimeo. I did this so that I could easily compare the two. It’s also a chance to see how the iPhone is coping with a semi-tricky lighting situation; light outside the station, lights in the ceiling and the approaching headlights from the subway train. That’s about it for this post.

A behind the scenes look at the fashion editorial we shot for the November issue of Inked Magazine featuring Rick Genest (AKA ZOMBIE BOY). He was gracious enough to spend some time talking a little bit about what it’s like to be him and what he’s been up to lately.

We are in a huge fabric hall. An exposed and obviously uncommon character sits there on a couch. German photographer Nadine Elfenbein will soon continue taking pictures of him. He smokes his cigarette while making little tricks with it. Short inflammations illuminate his face releasing skull fragments. It’s a Day of the Dead scenery. We are here with Rick Genest aka Rico the Zombie.
