I like infographics and that's why I'm posting three great ones from Vimeo.com

I like information graphics or “infographics”. It’s a great way of combining important information (or sometimes really dull and boring stuff) and make something beautiful, engaging and entertaining. Wikipedias definition of infographics:

Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics present complex information quickly and clearly, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education. With an information graphic, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians develop and communicate concepts using a single symbol to process information.

Here are three recent ones I found on Vimeo.com

New Twitter name: fredstuff. I you follow me, read!

A few weeks ago there was talk on the net about Twitter being hacked. Users were encouraged to change their passwords. I did, and there’s been all kinds of trouble since.

<img src="http://fredstuff.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/twitter_bird.jpg" alt="" title="twitter_bird" width="100" height="113" align="left" size-full wp-image-351" />My account couldn’t be verified by Twitter, the old account still works to some extent at the Twitter homepage but the Twitterrific app on the iPhone refused to play nice. I had to make a decision — wait for it to fix itself (that’s actually the advice from Twitter) or get a new account.

I’ve had the ‘fredwifi’ account for over two years but it’s not a big loss to get rid of it, I guess most of my followers are spammers anyway. So, my new Twitter account is: fredstuff. Fits like a custom made glove, doesn’t it? Long live the new and improved account! I’ll change the Twitter feed in the blog sidebar in a few days.

The UK version [MP4 Link] is a typical hand holding, ‘our users might be stupid’ approach. Our friends in the Far East deliver the same message without a single spoken word. I prefer the Japanese version [MP4 Link] and I hope you do too.
