Yet another example of presenting the same message in two very different ways; Google US and Google Japan. Subject: Google Earth.

I wrote a previous post about different ways of presenting the exact same thing. That time it was about Google Streetview Privacy; Google U.K. and Google Japan had to convey a message to their users and it became apparent that Japan was way ahead in terms of entertaining the viewers. They seem more open to fun and wacky ideas and makes the rest (of us) seem a bit stale and boring. Here is another example, the subject is Google Earth as presented by Google America and Google Japan. Such a huge gap between The US and Japan — one is boring, one is fun.

Creative use of Google Wave. A goodbye to the year 2009.

A creative way of saying goodbye, see you later and get lost to the year 2009. Brought to you by Whirled Interactive.

Click here to view the embedded video.

This video is made entirely in Google Wave, “an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration”. I have yet to understand what it’s good for, how I might use it or appreciate it in any form what-so-ever. My friends who raved about finally getting an invite have not said a word about it after their first few sessions. Who knows? I might be missing out on the greatest thing ever, but I doubt it. To summarize this post: Great vid!

The UK version [MP4 Link] is a typical hand holding, ‘our users might be stupid’ approach. Our friends in the Far East deliver the same message without a single spoken word. I prefer the Japanese version [MP4 Link] and I hope you do too.
