Alright. I feel a bit joyous here realizing I made it through my 365 Project for 2010. It’s clear (to me, at least) that the pictures got better over time. Today is January 2:nd and it feels good to not having to upload a pic today, or yesterday for that matter. From now on (until I start a new 365 Project) I’ll just upload whatever I like, when I’d like too. Portrait/landscape, it won’t matter. Edited beyond recognition, it won’t matter. There will be a steady stream of new pics to my Flickr page, no doubt about it.

2011 is here and I’ll start posting again. I mentioned earlier that I would explain the shortage of new posts during the last few months. Just to get it into the open; I didn’t feel like posting stuff because I thought they weren’t good enough. That behavior is no more — I’m going to post whatever I like. It’s my blog and I can do whatever I like here, that’s kind of the point! Haha, well — see you around and let’s have fun with this, shall we?

Winter is here. It wasn’t here when November started, but it is now. It was 1.4 F (-17 C) this morning — I’d say that’s pretty cold. Winter clothes, I like them. Lots of pockets and you feel safe in a big down jacket with a hood — thank you Rockport XCS, thank you for keeping me warm.

I’ve decided to pick up blogging again. On a more frequent basis. I actually hate having a blog when never updating it. Things will change. I mean, I could upload a photo every damn day this year without too much trouble so why can’t I write a blog post every now and then? In fairness, the blog was updated at least once a day during 2010 when a new photo was uploaded, but I guess people want some text and other content to go with that.

I’m still not sure if I’ll continue with the 365 Project in 2011. I will no doubt keep uploading loads of photos to the blog and write about iPhone photography and perhaps even conventional photography (I don’t know much about it — but then again, who really does?). I’m listening to the brand new album from The National, it’s called Hight Violet and it’s really good. I’ll tey to to a kind of best of 2010 list in an upcoming post. Till then, take care. October was a pretty good month as far as pictures go. This set has some variety to it — maybe I was out and about a bit more than usual. Still contemplating next year, should I do another year — and if so, should I be less restrictive and allow myself to experiment with different apps? I’m really starting to appreciate the limitations and “directness” of the iPhone in combination with a whole suite of photo apps. 365 Project 2011? Hmm… I have to think about that. I believe I said that August was a fast or “short” month. Well, September is currently the champion of months that felt like a week. Man, the month of August sure went by fast. In fact, it feels like the shortest month I’ve ever experienced. I wonder why that is. Anyway, I present you with a bunch of photos all shot with my iPhone 3GS — one picture every day, all in landscape and all of them completely untouched straight from the camera roll. Enjoy. If that’s even remotely possible. In the voice of the late & great Marlon Brando: Lighten up, it’s a celebration!

Oh, and I have changed the way the pictures are displayed. I have thrown out the FancyFlickr plugin that made the small thumbnails and replaced it with the slideshow code from Flickr. I think this method is much better and it makes the blog load a little faster.

I’m very pleased with my Flickr Pro purchase, I’m going to put it to good use and create sets for my Nikon DSLR and another, more random set is already growing. I really like the Camera+ app for the iPhone. It’s on sale on the App Store at the moment — a great buy.
