This just in. A few minutes ago this hideous Jumping Jack was sold at the Swedish auctioneer Bukowskis in Stockholm (where I live).
Info about the piece; ‘Given as a summer gift to grandfather Ingmar Bergman, from his grandson Ola Bergman.’ JUMPING JACK, in the shape of a devil. Red painted paper. Estimate: $42-50. And now to the insane part, hammer price (sold for): $4148. Did Bergman even like this piece of crap — did he even see it/touch it? This reminds me of a Swedish guy recently selling a white glove (studded with ‘beautiful stones’) that he wore at a Michael Jackson concert in the 90s. ‘I was up front, close to the stage and at one point Michael waved at the glove!’. He sold it at a Swedish version of Ebay for $2075. That’s insane.
I think I’ll visit the attic, might be something up there worth a few thousand…

Just trying out the newly implemented Captcha spam blocker. I HATE having to use this on my own blog, believe me. I did a lot of research and this is the best version out there at the moment. The letters and numbers are easy to read and the design is not too far out there. Wow, this turned into a post — better put this message on the front page!
