I finally found a way of taking great looking black & white photos on the iPhone 4S. First take your photo with the brand new app Hueless ($1.99), then run that photo through the app Perfectly Clear ($2.99). If you’d like to see a bigger photo go to my Flickr page.

Just posting a photo I took out the bedroom window just now. Tomorrow nights will start getting darker again. Oh, and it was a while ago that I last updated the blog — this is a sign of life.
OK, just one more photo of the curvy candle holders. I drilled holes in them — that’s about it. I’m bored, that’s why I’m posting. The photo was nice though. Right?
Just a quick update. The new batch of the birch candle holders are coming along nicely. I drilled all the holes for the actual candle fixtures today — the photos posted are before that. Next time I post about them it’ll be the finished product. I might experiment a bit with staining on at least one of them (to go along with the usual linseed oil and turpentine). Stay tuned!
Yup. I started on another batch of the curvy candle holders right after I finished the oak ones. This time: birch. I have a feeling they’re going to turn out quite nice.
