This track was just uploaded to SoundCloud. The track in itself is not new however. I saved the rough mix to my computer on March 16, 2010 — but here it is in all its finished high quality glory. This is part of an upcoming EP — or album, seems like both are on the way. I had a look around and in their own words: “Here’s the next track from our forthcoming EP – “COMING HOME”.

Visionary Director Christopher Nolan returns for the final chapter of the Batman saga. In this exclusive SoundWorks Collection video we profile the sound and music team including Composer Hans Zimmer and Supervising Sound Editor and Sound Designer Richard King.
If you are curious about Zimmer’s studio I did a post about it a while back — with some pictures at least.
Strangely enough I’ll start off this Keane post with a brand new video from The Killers. I like The Killers — but they have a huge problem; they have too few good tunes on their albums. The way I see it they have two, possibly three great tracks on each album. And this first single “Runaways” from their upcoming album (Battle Born, released later this fall) is not that good so I’m a bit worried what’ll come next and how the album might sound when it’s released.
I’ve known about Keane for years but I have never listened to them. I though they were a poor mans Coldplay or something along those lines. A few weeks ago I posted the track “Silenced By The Night” to Facebook calling them a poor mans The Killers. I see it in a different light now; Keane is better than The Killers. They do kind of sound like The Killers but there’s one big difference between them, Keane have solid albums with good tracks through and through. Here, let me post two tracks from Keane’s album “Strangeland”.
To be honest though, Keane doesn’t have a “Mr. Brighside” or a “Human” in their repertoire but they are a better band when it comes to overall quality of songs.
These bands are way to established for me to link to them, go find them yourselves. OK, just one link to Keane will do. Screw it, I’ll link to The Killers too.
Info from her official site:
Bat for Lashes has announced new song ‘Laura’, after Zane Lowe premiered it this evening on Radio 1 as his ‘Hottest Track In The World’. ‘Laura’ has been a fan favourite following recent performances at European festivals and although taken from the forthcoming album, the track will be available as an instant download to fans who pre-order the album on iTunes as of midnight tonight. This devastating, tear-stained swoon of a piano ballad featuring seductively sombre horns and strings is accompanied by a suitably heart rending video.
The “suitably heart rending video” can currently only be seen at her site — I searched YouTube and Vimeo but nothing there yet. I’ll post it here when it shows up. If I recall correctly the new album will be out in October and it’ll be called “The Haunted Man”.
